VINTAGE Hawaiian Seed Bead Rope Necklace ca. 1952
Description
This is another of my grandmother's wonderful natural necklaces from Hawaii, ca. 1952. The red seeds with a black spot are called Black-eyed Susan, and the flattish brown pointy ovals may be Koa seeds (I'm no naturalist!). The rope is two strands of each type of seed wound together on black thread. The rope is about 48" long.If you're really a perfectionist, then I'd say sure, buy this to de-construct. It's so nice as it is, though...why bother!
