Blended spice sachets, set of 3

Description

Cool spring mornings, and warm, mild afternoons inspired this custom blend of spices and citrus. These sweet and simple sachets are for scenting your linens, drawers or closets. . . or can even be used for simmering!

This special blend of spices -- my own recipe -- is a melding of cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and ginger, with a dash of orange. The ingredients are all-natural -- no fake chemicals! The fabric and ribbon are rescued from the thrift store.

Directions for use:
**Simply scrunch and squeeze the sachet a bit, to release its natural oils, and then place the sachet in a drawer, your car, your linens. . . anywhere you would like this light scent.
**These are pretty enough to place on your nightstand or vanity, or nestled in a pretty dish.

For simmering:
**Place one sachet in 2 cups of water, and simmer slowly on your stovetop, or in a potpourri simmering pot.
**After about 15 minutes, the spices and orange will mull and hints of chai and citrus will permeate your home. It's subtle and sweet, comforting and welcoming.
**Add water as needed, to maintain a slow simmer.
**Each sachet (and the simmering water) can be used multiple times, until the spices lose their potency.

Content:
**rescued-from-the-thrift-store unbleached muslin and cotton tape ribbon
**1/4 cup spice blend in each sachet
**cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, orange peel, orange essential oil, and cellulose fiber (a natural fixative for the oil)

Dimensions:
**3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm) tall, 3 inches (7.5 cm) wide
**4 inch (10 cm) long ribbon

***Care and common sense must be exercised when simmering these sachets. When the water level begins to get low, simply add more water to the pot. Do not leave simmering pots unattended, especially around children and pets. Do not let the ribbon hang over the side of the pot.***
