Fetish totem necklace
Description
I think that the bone bead on this necklace, combined with elk hair and a small antler, suggests a totem or fetish, vaguely African in character.The elk hair was found stuck on a blackberry thorn during a walk in the woods near our house in Oregon. The hair is secured in a .22 shell casing found on the same walk. The antler was from our collection of found objects.
This is an original work of art that can be displayed (it's hanging over our dining table right now) when not being worn.
It measures approximately 4-4 1/2" in length.
