The Fly and the Sword

So, my mother bought me this set of random stamped brass pieces. They all had a very Victorian look to them (which I loved, thanks mom) but I had not idea what to do with them. Then when I was going through my Steampunk ideas I knew just what I wanted to do.

I made the necklace by attaching the brass fly to a copper cob-looking pendant and hanging a brass sword from the piece. I made the chain my connecting copper connectors with brass jump rings making a chain. I then strung black sheer ribbon through the connectors and attached the ribbon and chain to two larger rings. I then added a brass vintaj clasp and copper extender chain for the extra length if needed.

I wore the necklace to the Goth club for a concert just to check out what everyone thought. I got several comments from complete strangers about how great it looked, and where I bought it.

The necklace measures 15 to 18 inches depending on the extender chain.
