RECYCLED WOOL green patchwork sling bag

Description

I designed a bag like this for myself last year, and I'm finally getting around to putting them in the shop. The best part about this bag is the gentle curve of the front, outside pocket, which dips down to reveal an interesting patchwork behind it. The pocket is edged with a fabric binding, and has a poppy applique on the front.

The main fabric of the bag is reclaimed wool fabric, formerly part of an army blanket! The applique is also salvaged wool, and the patchwork elements are remnants of new and vintage cottons.

The handle is 1 1/4 inches by 40 inches. It can be worn over the shoulder or messenger-style. The body of the bag is 10 inches wide by 10 1/2 inches tall.

The bag is lined with coordinating fabric, and has a flat pocket on the inside. The closure is a magnetic snap. Hanging on the inside is an easy-to-access lobster clasp, ready to hold your keys. Every element is carefully stitched, and interfaced where needed to ensure that your accessory is as useful as it is pretty.
