Necklace, Coffee Buzz Amulet Bag

Description

This lovely Amulet necklace was knit with shiny metallic thread and opaque chocolaty brown seed beads. The neck strap is embellished with Mahogany Jade beads that reminded me of chocolate covered coffee beads. I really like how the lighter topaz colored beads in the chain bring out the metallic flecks of the thread.

I love the look of amulet bags, they're quite beautiful worn as necklaces with any outfit, but you can always hide a little special keepsake in them, and none would be the wiser. However, you might get a few curious folks ask you what you keep in your little bag.

Victorians used them to store keepsakes from sweethearts, or lost loved ones. Native Americans used amulet pouches to store medicinal roots and herbs. I carry a variety of crystals in mine, and my daughter was quite proud to carry her very first lost tooth in hers, but only until it was time to give it to the Tooth Faery, of course!
