The Cheeky Lucy Handbag

This handbag is to remind us all of the precocious and "cheeky" young girl in all of us!

It is named for a lovely young lady in England who is eleven, her name is Lucy and her mother describes her as a "cheeky chappy." I asked her mother if I could name a bag after her, so here it is - "The Cheeky Lucy!"

Perfect name for a cute handbag don't you think?

The fabric is vintage french cotton, very charming. Most likely early 19th century I think. I have lined it with new, fresh pure light blue cotton. There is a large divided pocket on the inside. The handle is purchased, and it is pink vinyl.

The design is my own, the style is called "Cheeky Lucy" so I will be making more bags in this style with different fabrics. It has my story brass crown hanging from it, and a cute ribbon. The button is fushia in color, as is the single purse handle.

The handbag has a single snap closure. I have added canvas, boning and elastic for support. This is my first bag in this style, some of the stitching is a bit rustic.
Measurements are approximately 12 wide by 14 inches tall.
