Blackthorn Protection Cross

This charm is a twist on the traditional Rowan Cross used for protection from the evil eye, ghosts, and fairies:

"Thus saith the Rowan - Cross my arms and red wool wind, if thou wouldst wicked evil bind."

The blackthorn cross is a more multi-purpose charm, protecting a house, building, room, or person from physical and psychic harm, from anyone or thing with ill intent towards what or who the charm is protecting. The blackthorn wood was wild harvested from a tree that fell during a storm. The bark has been removed and the wood has been sanded, oiled and polished with beeswax. Each cross is bound with copper wire, then woven with black wool. Black draws energy as well as being a protective colour. The tie at the top has been strung with dried Rowan berries for extra added protection.
