This item is made from the remnants of making lumber from trees selectively harvested from the family farm. The 440 acre family farm, which has been in the family for over 200 years, includes forests of hardwood trees.

"The farm" was designed to be self-sufficent and has its own sawmill. During the initial stage of sawing trees into green lumber the rounded edges are cut from the tree. These cuttings are the remnants used to make this item.
