Vintage Souvenir Ashtray - Mount Rushmore

I don't know if you've visited Mount Rushmore, but it's set in beautiful countryside, dotted with delightful cabins and lodges and of course souvenir stores. This ashtray long pre-dates any trip I've taken there, and the type of souvenirs have changed and become more "slick." Nothing wrong with that, except that I personally like kitsch. This ashtray harkens back to a simpler era, when it was okay to like velvet paintings and Elvis busts. Even if you don't smoke, it will faithfully harbour your rings from dropping in the sink, or it will decorate your urban concrete eyrie or bucolic log cabin, as you argue with your friends over who the next president carved into the mountain should be.

Size: 5" across, 3/4" deep (13 cm x 2 cm)

Condition: very good vintage condition with no chips or fading

Other details: bright, inspiring colours, with gold edge. A little label on the bottom tells us "Made in Japan." Where else would you expect a patriotic American souvenir to have been made?
