Had this song, well, phrase, running through my head while piecing this. Had to look it up... it's by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - so now you know too.

After piecing the mosaic portion (in reverse), the mosaic was placed in my own custom mold and set with charcoal tinted concrete. An acrylic fortifier was added to the concrete mix to help with weather issues, however it is recommended that it be brought inside in freezing temperatures.

Design is precisely hand cut from stained glass. I used iridized white glass for the word Dream that will look pinky/purple when viewed from an angle. The background is sprinkled with little hand nipped glass circles of iridized white and glittery navy blue. I tried to capture this in the photos. Finished block is angled for easier reading when placed in a garden and is 8" wide, 5" tall, 2.75" deep at base and 1.33" wide at top.
