INNER JOURNEY - You are a Goddess Mask - OOAK Purple with a labradorite gem

Sometimes, as I sit down with the clay, I ask who wants to speak? And I begin to feel the heartfelt emotions and even thoughts of women everywhere...possibly of all women throughout time.

This is an original handbuilt earthenware mask that reflects that deep, meditative feeling. (I felt that purple should be the color and it was a "Oh wow...thank you moment" that she made it through the firing.) Next came securing a wire to the mask with silver buttons so I could hang her up to feel the mood.

Looking at her, she seemed to say, "Yes, like all woman, I have the memories of tears on my cheeks, but I am strong and I am beautiful". So I selected a lovely, mysterious faceted labradorite gemstone, and then a blue flash opal to represent balance. Her title became "Inner Journey".

She is approx. 13 1/2 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches wide. The galvanized hanging wire is heavy guage, and attaches through two sets of metal buttons (front and back). The gemstones are glued in with silicone, making her a perfect outdoor feature, as well as for an indoor sacred space.

I can take payments, if you wish to dicuss that possibility with me, and reserve her for an agreed upon time. Since this is an important personal decision, if I make another that you like better, you may transfer your payments to the new mask during the reserve period.
