Candle Holder
Description
This handbuilt small square tile is very versatile. It's great to use as a candle holder, soap dish, spoon rest, or you could even display it on the wall with the wire I have looped onto the back.I use a tree branch to texture both sides and edges of the pieces so that it resembles bark. The variations in the surfaces come as a result of the soda firing process and the interaction between wood ash and soda. I position seashells on top of them before the firing, which leaves an imprint of the seashell in the surface.
