This project was part of an entry to Artsplace's "Metalworks" 2009 Art Challenge. (Artsplace is in Cheshire, CT.) The challenge was using metal as inspiration or within/as an art form. Artsplace sent out cases filled with metal pieces and you could use as many or as few as you wanted. I recently bought these shoes for my cousins wedding and couldn't resist using them to mock the pain women sometimes go through to wear these types of heels...actually, these shoes are surprisingly comfortable because of the ankle strap, but more than two hours standing in them and my legs were tired!
