This print of the original oil painting (16x 24 inches and for sale through Billy Shire Fine Art in Culver City) is a part of my "Intemperance" series. The Honey Queen leans forward over a reclining male spilling golden drops over his torso. I wish I could tell you there was a happy ending... the honey cured his deadly void, he prince came back to life, and they lived happily ever after. Ladies if you have ever dating in your 30's, you know this Romeo was yet another void. Anymore when I call up my friends and share the fate of the latest Jake, my dearest gal pals tell me..."well, at least you will have a new painting." A can't express the unending consternation of how that just isn't good enough...and yet I think this is a pretty damn good painting to commemorate another less than perfect love affair.
