Desk Organizer / Aspen Vase Trio M

Description

If you've ever visited the mountains of Colorado, you've probably been entranced by the beautiful aspen trees that grow so prolifically. This little vase-desk organizer-vanity organizer-toothbrush holder-etc was designed to bring you memories of these trees known as 'Populus tremuloides' or Quaking Aspen.

The tallest of the three vases that are permanently connected is 4.5"; the three together are around 3" across.

I handbuilt these from white stoneware, adding the little creases and knot-holes before firing. For glaze, I used a matte birch white with black accents reminiscent of the trees in the forest.

While this vase would make a lovely holder for flowers, it also would make a very nice pencil holder on a desk or a toothbrush holder in the bathroom.
