ABOUT THIS LISTING:
This listing is for 3 old thin 16 mm green glass Vaseline beads, (bicones), that have come to this continent from the African bead trade. Vaselines are some of my favorite trade beads!
These Vaselines have a nice aged patina with sometimes a little African dirt. They are in very, very good condition. Vaselines remind me of some kind of strange bicone shaped candy, but please only use them for beading or collecting projects!
They were made in Bohemia, (which today is called the Czech Republic), in the early 1900's where many of the older collectible trade bead styles originated. These thin green Vaselines were made by expert bead makers with a distinctive saucer shape & size. They are a collectible trade bead style.
