Yarn details: This is a top quality 100% SUPERWASH merino wool sock yarn. The yarn is a 2-ply lightweight/fingering yarn that should be knit at a firm gauge for socks. The gauge is 34 to 40 stitches to 4 inches on US #0-1 needles (2 to 2.25 mm).

This yarn comes in an extra-large 4-ounce skein, which is plenty of yarn for just about any pair of socks imaginable, including a pair of knee-socks or a pair socks for a very large man's foot!

Sloth Colorway: This yarn is dyed in the gentlest shades of pale blue with subtle hints of light gray and lavender. It is one of my Seven Deadly Sins series, which are being introduced one per month for the first seven months of 2008.

Care Instructions: Handwashing in cool water is the preferred method for washing any delicate hand knit or crocheted item. Projects made with this yarn can, however, be machine washed. Machine wash in cool water on gentle cycle and lay flat to dry.
