Lost At Sea -- Unique Yarn For Fiber Artists
Description
This is a very unique yarn that is made by spinning an ultra-bulky wool yarn and plying it with a strand of recycled fishing net (very clean.) Scraps of cloth are spun into the yarn, and you can add additional detritus when you knit if desired. This yarn would make a extremely interesting, highly textured piece for your home, or a great bag. The stiffness of the fishing net makes this too spiky to wear. However that same stiffness adds real dimensionality to the yarn.This yarn is BIG. There is over 1 lb, 4 ozs of yarn here, with a total length of 56+ yards in two skeins. This short-seeming yardage will actually make a substantial piece -- you will work with a very big needles/hook.
