Vintage, antique serving bowl - Green iridescent finish with fruit in center - Scalloped edges

Description

This is a really wonderful bowl I picked up at a garage sale recently. There is an yellow-green iridescent coating all about the inside which is very difficult to photograph - therefore I can assure you your bowl will look far better in real life! It measures 9.75" across and 1.75" deep.

The bowl is pale green on the edges (the color of lettuce), and it fades to a more yellowish tint on its way to the center of the bowl. The edges are softly scalloped. There are some marks and 'crazing' and a few small scuffs, but I believe its age does not show nearly as badly as it could. There are some brown spots on the inside bottom (UNDER the glaze). There are also two small chips which are browned. This is a really beautiful piece which would display very well - again, the color just cannot be captured correctly by a camera. I bought one similar to it for myself, otherwise I wouldn't part with it! Mine will be used for breads and other light use when it isn't on display. :)

There is no marking on the back. However, the platter I bought with it is very similar and did have a mark...I was thus able to trace the platter it to the years 1915-1930. This seems to be the appropriate time for this piece as they are quite similar in style, color and apparent wear and tear. I am no expert though - it's just a guess.
