FREE PARKING SPOT Beaded Buell Motorcycle Art Sculpture w/ Fire Hydrant

Description

Here is one beaded motorcycle & fire hydrant sculpture entitled 'Free Parking Spot'. Inspired by a Buell X-1 Lightning, this orange, black & blue motorcycle was beaded over the course of 8 weeks (160 hours of labour). This sport bike is standalone bead-embroidered relief art, and the accompanying Boston fire hydrant is completely 3-dimensional. The bike measures 10" wide x 6" tall (25cm x 15cm), and the fire hydrant measures 4" tall x 1.75" wide (10cm x 4cm).

Using a mix of Czech and Japanese glass seed beads & metal hardware, this piece was made by stitching glass seed beads to felt & vinyl 2-3 at a time. Beadwork is supported by a 12g coated copper wire kickstand. Wheels consist of custom hammered sterling silver rims and zipper wire for the treads.
