Vintage 1940s EVELYN VARON Cream, Pink, Blue, Aurora Borealis Sequin and Bead Head Piece Hat



Here we have an adorable and very sparkly vintage 1940's designer hat by the milliner Evelyn Varon that is a swirled floral design filled in with layers of cream sequins and bugle beads flashing colorful aurora borealis iridescence in pinks, golden yellows, greens, blues and purples. The top of your head will simply be "all aglitter" in this little vintage hat! Another fine collectible from the estate of a very fashionable woman.

This headpiece is composed of a stiff net and wired edge base, lined on the inside with pink lace and grosgrain ribbon, a size tag of 22, and the designers ribbon tag which says "EVELYN VARON Model". The top of course is beautifully covered in the sequins and tiny bugle bead outlines for the flower design.

The condition is outstanding and perhaps I see a tiny bit of discoloration on the very ribbon edges, and one tiny age stain on lace lining, not an issue at all. This is just a great hat in great condition. Perfect for a formal occasion, a wedding or a cocktail party.

Measurement across side to side at widest (front) point is 12 inches wide. (30.48 cm) The width, front to back is 7 inches. (17.78 cm) This is styled to sit at the top of your head and has a wired construction that allows it to give and fit all size heads. I am sorry I do not have the hat box this was certainly stored in, but I will be sure to send in a sturdy box.
