Chevron Lattice Quilt / Napping Size

Description

This quilt is made with my original 3 color batik fabric; Chevron Lattice on the front and Swanson Stripe on the back.

Because the fabric must be dyed separately for each color, all of the fabric in this piece has been dyed three times. This creates an incredible richness and dimension in the darker colors which cannot be attained using single dyebaths.

The quilting is done in two colors- a silver rayon with a slight sheen to complement the light silvery-blue of the chevron and a dark purple-wine cotton which blends in with the dark purple of the fabric. The quilting lines create a subtle texture which is a beautiful complement to the pattern of the front fabric. All of the quilting is a gorgeous contrast against the stripe on the back.

This quilt measures 51" x 68" and is made of 100% cotton fabric, thread, and batting. I call this napping size because it's perfect for stretching out under when you want to grab a quick catnap, although I find it the perfect personal size quilt for my bed since I'm a cover hog and I don't like to share. It's big enough to share on a cold night though, if you're feeling generous!

Part of the added expense of this quilt is the 3-color fabric on the back. If you would prefer, I can make the quilt with a solid color backing. The quilt can also be made in different sizes and/or colorways. Production time for a custom quilt is 4-6 weeks, depending on the complexity of your piece.
