The cherry blossom in Japan is a symbol of beauty, fleeting and to be enjoyed as much as possible. It represents change and growth, with the turn of the seasons and the dream like quality it brings to the world around as the petals fall like snowflakes.
My son was born in Japan during the cherry blossom or "sakura" season. Just before his birth, I collected some twigs with the buds ready to open in a few weeks much like my son's expected appearance. I cast them in silver and made this necklace.Oka san means mother in japanese.
The necklace is made with one silver cherry blossom bud branch. It hangs on a silver snake chain.
Perfect to show your love for your mother, wife, friend expecting a baby or just anyone who likes nature!
