1909 antique STEAMPUNK pocket watch pendant OOAK

Description

his handmade necklace is created with care from the movement of a antique ELGIN watch. this movement is dated to 1909. its over 100 years old. the plates are gold gilded.

only 1000 of this watch were ever made, making this a truly unique and OOAK necklace

large watch movement. approximately 1 1/4" in diameter. bright and shiny despite its age. awesome deco engravings.

the movement is suspended with a sterling plated bail on either a bronze, silver, or copper choker, or an 18" sterling silver chain. please let me know in the comment section what you would like.

Elgin was founded in 1864, right as the civil war was coming to an end. The first watch Elgin made, an 18 sized B W Raymond railroad grade watch, was finished in 1867 and over the next 100 years, they went on to produce about 60 million watches. Elgin produced their first wristwatch around 1910, leading most other American watch companies by many years.
