A Couch I Was, Recycled Green Leather Couch Journal

Description

This journal is made from leather that I lovingly stripped from a couch at the end of it's life cycle. The rest of the couch was taken to a recycling center so nothing went to waste!

The couch came from a house with a cat so the leather has some claw marks that can been seen in the photos. The leather has been in my house for several months but will still probably bother someone with cat allergies.

I really like the way this leather has been worn in over the years, I think the wear wrinkles give the leather a great personality. I cut a jagged edge on the front flap at a slight angle. The closure for this journal is a pearlescent black button that comes through the jagged flap. The button is sewn on with the same yellow linen thread with the journal is sewn with.

This journal measure 5 5/8" x 4 1/2 or 14cm x 11.5cm.
The text block is made from a fine grey paper that is 25% cotton making it a fantastic eco friendly paper. There are 120 single sided pages or 240 double sided.
