1930's Antique Wall Sconce with Handmade Brocade Shade
Description
This 1930's antique wall sconce plugs into a wall outlet by a six foot cord. It gives a warm light and works well as a reading lamp. The fixture itself is made of metal, painted in white and avocado green. The shade is handmade from vintage brocade and vintage trim in ivory and avocado green with hints of blue in the trim. The shade is 6.5 " tall, from top of shade to bottom of fixture measures 13". The front of shades is 10" off the wall.Barneche Design is a unique resource for antique lighting ,offering antique wall sconces, chandeliers, pendant lights, ceiling mounts and lamps. David and Stephanie both rewire the fixtures and lamps. David is a master electrician, working in the field for over 25 years. Stephanie took a three year pause from clothing design and worked with David, training and then working with him as an electrician. Each fixture is carfully rewired in our home lighting workshop.
Stephanie crafts handmade lampshades from vintage and new textiles and trims. They are available in all sizes and shapes. Each one is hand stitched, no glue is used in the production of these shades. The textiles are of the highest quality. Sumptuous tapestry, brocade, silk, linen, cotton, rayon and silk organza are some of the fabrics used. All of the vintage fabrics are washed and dried by machine before being crafted into these unique and sometimes whimsical shades.
