A "chamsa" is a traditional amulet that is thought of as protecting the owner from the evil eye. It is used in both Jewish and Muslim cultures, but many think that this ancient symbol predates even Judaism.This beautiful hand-sculpted and hand-painted chamsa bead has a protective layer of polyurethane to make it durable and waterproof, which also adds a silky shine. The bead has the traditional eye in the center, painted blue.
The entire necklace is 18" long and attaches in the back with a silver clasp.
