Rustic Maple Bowl 2-1/4 tall x 5-1/8 across

Description

DESCRIPTION:
This is a rustic, hand-turned bowl made from Western Bigleaf Maple. The grain on this bowl is beautiful!

It is 2-1/4" tall and 5-1/8" in diameter. It has a series of decorative cuts and burn lines made into the side (please see the photos). There are several small beetle holes at the lip of this bowl. When there are holes or sometimes bark inclusions, I allow them to remain as part of the finished natural piece.

FINISH:
It is finished with my food-safe, hand-applied all-natural "mineral oil and beeswax" finish that won't hurt anybody and will protect the bowl from everyday damage. As with any wooden bowl, I recommend that you do not put this piece into the dishwasher, just wipe it out with a damp cloth and you'll be good to go. On the base it is signed: "DCJ / Amboy, WA / Maple / 052608-1".

The wood source for this bowl was a Western Bigleaf Maple log.

I accept Paypal payments and I ship by USPS Priority Mail. I charge you the actual shipping cost. I wouldn't make friends by rounding up shipping charges on you, so I refund any shipping charges that you pay that are over the actual shipping cost, should it turn out to be less than quoted.
