Pale Mint Lotus Leaf. Japanese Porcelain Necklace. AKEBONO.

Description

This pretty necklace features a porcelain lotus pendant in a beautiful pale green and white. The intricate carving on this leaf is emphasized by the settling of green glaze. The lotus is often used in Buddhist art because it grows out of the mud, toward the sun, in a clean, pure state.

Each pendant is formed in a hand carved mold. After removal from the mold it is then over carved and shaped for wonderful detail.

It measures approximately 1 7/8 inches across on a 18 inch sterling silver chain from a handmade sterling bail. The clasp is a tiny, super strong silver plated magnet which makes it very easy to put on and take off. Handy!

I can cut the chain shorter on request.
