Pennsylvania Dutch Rosette on Black Penny Rug Pattern

Description

This rug design was inspired by Pennsylvania Dutch folk art, particularly barn hex signs. However, despite the "hex" term, the rosette form actually symbolizes good luck. It is a good rug to start with if you've never done one before as it only uses one type of stitch (the typical blanket stitch). It also requires only common sewing items and wool felt (which can be purchased at many local craft suppliers or online).

Finished rug measures approximately 17-3/4” across.

Skill level - Easy.

Pattern includes instructions, a full-color photo, materials list, stitch guide, tips on preparing the wool felt, and full-scale templates. Support during assembly is also gladly given via email!
