Black Pearl - Pedestal Pincushion

This pedestal pincushion is beautiful way to keep your needles and pins in order!

This pincushion stands approx 17cm/6.5in high on a solid pewter base. The base is 8.5cm/3.5in across. The pincushion measures approx 8.5cm/3.5in in diameter .
The cushion itself is made with red velvet and a tatted motif, which is further embellished with black Silk Ribbon "fargo" roses and beads. The look is finished with a small beaded tassle.

Not only does this pincushion look great, but having it up on a 'pedestal' means your needles are easily accessible above all your other sewing paraphernalia. No more unraveling threads from around pin heads, or knocking over bead containers while changing needles. (Can you tell I speak from experience? - LOL) Having used one myself for several months now, I also find they are big enough to work really well in a small space, but the design means it is difficult to 'lose' your needles into the cushion - and if you do, they are easily retrieved with a little poking and prodding.
