Cherry Blossoms in Black and White - earrings
Description
Another in my series of black and white pieces with an Asian flair. These large, bold earrings have a stylized cherry blossom motif transferred onto polymer clay. My process includes crackling the black ink, lending the appearance of crazed porcelain. The color is not stark black - it has indigo and grey undertones.The backs are a dark charcoal gray. They measure a bold 1.75 inches in diameter, but they are extremely lightweight. They are finished with handcrafted 20gauge sterling earwires.
