3-D Red Black Tree sterling silver earrings

Description

A pair of beaded dangle earrings inspired by the red-black tree data structure in computer science. As the title and photos show, I made these pair of earrings with sterling silver wires as the pointers, olive green beads as the black nodes, transparent foxglove seed beads as the red nodes, and small solid black seed beads as the leaves/"nil". Each child is twisted so to be perpendicular with its parent's orientation. I flatten the piece a little bit to make it look better through the pictures. Your head is the black "root", so, by definition it is not for red-head. Well, unless you dyed it "real red" you can still try to fake it as black :) It is an artistic intepretation anyway.

To the non-geeks, this still looks eccentric with the random arrangements of seed beads on twisted wires. So, whether you are a geek girl or not, if you have an eye for the unusal beauty, try this. :)
