Leaf Earrings - Catmint
Description
These handcrafted fine silver (.999) earrings are made from two Catmint leaves growing in my garden. Each leaf is covered in multiple layers of thinned PMC (slip) until the desired thickness is achieved, then fired in the kiln (where the leaf burns away). What results is a highly detailed exact replica of the leaf- in pure fine silver (.999). I then add a patina finish to further enhance the details of the veins, polish, and add on a sterling earwire.These leaves measure approx. 1/2" wide and 1" long. A pair of earstops are included for the wires.
