Bodie Building 3, Original Polaroid Transfer

Description

This house at Bodie is one of many that have a covered entryway. I imagine it was quite useful to have one during the winter, as the area can be subjected to rather harsh conditions.

Bodie is an amazing abandoned silver mining town in northern California. Protected by the state, a few dedicated individuals help maintain this place so the public can visit. Though there are many buildings left standing, there are only a select few one can enter. I have visited there several times, yet I continue to find new things to photograph each time.

Original Polaroid dye transfer on acid-free canvas paper
Image size approximately 3”x4” on approximately 4”x5” paper
