Description

I made Belegaer's felt from wool roving, silk noil and wool nepps. Next, I embellished her surface with ruched couched rayon ribbon, glass beads and hand embroidery stitches (colonial knot and seed) and finally, I whip-stitched around her edges in azure blue cotton thread.

The felt is set onto a vintage brass tag background to make a pendant (3cm x 6cm, or 1 1/8" x 2 1/4" approx.), and the necklace is finished off with a delicate antiqued brass chain, which measures 18", and has a lobster clasp closure.

I loved making this pendant. She is one-of-a-kind, and there will never be another quite like her! I hope whoever gets to take her home will love her just as much!
