Kanzashi Barrette - Sherbet Lolita - vintage kimono fabric and antique button
Description
A Japanese kanzashi inspired hair flower on a snap clip barrette. This is a modern adaptation of Tsumami Kanzashi (the art of folded fabric hair ornaments which are a traditional accessories for Maiko and Geisha).This handmade barrette is built on a silver tone 1 7/8" snap clip barrette with vintage kimono silk set on a felt base - raw edge of fabric on underside. The flower measures a about 2" across and 3/4" in height.
The petals are a pretty salmon, cream and shimmery copper color thread in a woven abstract pattern. The center is a cream colored textured domed antique button.
