Description

When I was a kid, I remember there suddenly being a massive murder of crows that filled the woods surrounding my neighborhood. There were so many, the trees seemed to be made of crows rather than branches and leaves, and their caws echoed through the whole neighborhood. I imagined that if they all held on and started to fly, they could pick up the trees and carry them away with them. I was recently reading about how people hang dead crows in trees to stop them from roosting near people's homes because they're considered a nuisance. I think seeing that many crows in one place is amazing and beautiful.


Wheel-thrown porcelain vase hand-painted and fired to cone 6. Roughly 6 inches high.
