Be Silly

What else is there to say? Sometimes you just need to be silly, and honeys, I am the best at that, as you can see.

This 15.5" x 16.5" art quilt is a page of hand-written journaling that ponders the question about why we take life so seriously and when it is that we forget how to play and be silly.

The photos have been altered, printed, painted, and stitched. They were taken by me or my husband except the photobooth photos, which were taken at the way-cool photo booth at Archy McFee's in Seattle. If you haven't been there, you need to go right away!

There are two layers of hand-dyed cotton with a layer of commercial felt between. A little machine stitching and lots and lots of hand stitching--the back is unfinished so you can admire all that handwork.
