Description
Vintage Papier Mache, Copper and Antiqued Brass EarringsA wonderful Vintage Papier Mache bead in a bright and chunky pink with a bright glossy finish simply hang from elongated kidney wires in antiqued brass for added float and swing.
Bold, lightweight and playful!
This kind of beads were manufactured more heavily than they are currently, in Japan in the 1940’s - 1970’s. They were formed with a compressed ball of cotton and then coated with a glossy lacquer for a hard and durable finish. They are extremely light-weight in spite of their generally larger & bolder shape and size.
Bead is (2 cm) 3/4" across and the earrings misures 5,5 cm in length including earwire.
