Hand embroidered fiber wall art Dragonflies and Thistles

Full Art Nouveau glory: dragonflies hover over dramatic-looking flowers. Look, one got out of the box! This is an authentic Art Nouveau pattern I found while browsing a museum collection. I then chose the rich honey gold muslin and a combination of white and chocolate brown as embroidery colors. It may be an inspiration for your autumn harvest party.

It's really LARGE; two thick encyclopedias come only to half its height (see photos). Dimensions: 8x10 in (21x26 cm).

It was hand embroidered by my Mother, who has practiced the craft for 30+ years. I, in turn, hand painted the hoop tarnished gold color, backed the fabric with acid free cardstock and hand finished the back.
