Rosary of Cobalt-Blue Glass and Denim Lapis Beads
Description
This is a traditional five-decade Catholic rosary handmade from 8-mm beads of cobalt-blue glass, and Paters of denim lapis beads capped with delicately scalloped caps (Paters only).Handmade by Isaac.
The lovely crucifix of Victorian design has a matte, antiqued finish. The center is a matte-finish, cut-out Scapular Medal. The chain is handmade from eye-pins and small segments of manufactured connective chain. All metal is base metal with silver-colored finish.
The overall length of the rosary is 23 inches.
The loop of the rosary has a circumference of 32.5 inches.
The crucifix is 2 x 1.25 inches.
The center is 0.5 x 0.75 inches.
The main photograph is taken with flash, which illuminates the glass beads to show their transparency. The last photograph is taken in ambient light and gives an idea of the typical appearance of the beads.
"Denim lapis" is natural mineral, predominantly light blue with gray, black, and white highlights.
"Base metal" is an alloy unspecified by our suppliers in which nickel usually predominates.
