Vtg 70s Formal Brocade Trim Suit Tux Jacket 40 Stripes

Description

Sharp 70s bespoke formal two piece suit made by Margolese, Montreal. Done in a spring/summer weight navy blue wool (possibly blend) with floral brocade trim for the collar, lapels of the jacket and side stripes, waistband of the jacket.

The jacket is single breasted, one button with three smaller matching buttons on each sleeve. One welt breast pocket and two flapped side pockets, one with extra interior watch fob pocket. a generous 12" back vent. Partially lined in a navy blue acetate with two interior breast pockets.

The pants have one button down back pocket, one slash front pocket and one hidden "stash" pocket (this was the 70s...) on the inside. There is a rubberized band along the interior waistband and it closes with a nylon zipper and a series of three hooks (one plus two).

You'll look hip while keeping cool!

VINTAGE RATING/CONDITION (see chart):
Excellent condition! The stitching has loosed on the inside right armhole of the lining for about 8" - see last photo - and it will require a steaming. Otherwise, fabulous, clean with no holes, rips, tears or smells.
