328 yds Pumpkin Fruitcake handspun yarn, 290 g, 8 WPI

Do you get a fruitcake at Christmas? You never quite know what's in it, do you?

This is yarn fruitcake. Created from a grab bag of mill end fibres from a British mill, this yarn is a wild mix of colours and textures. I have no idea what any of these fibres are, but they're soft! If you've got allergies, this one may not be for you as I can't guarantee the contents. If you haven't...well, this yarn is crying out to be knitted or crocheted into something completely wacky and attention grabbing! Are you up for the challenge?

Measurements:

Approximately 7 wraps per inch (bulky weight), variable

Skein 1 (orange dominant):
Weight: 131.5 g (4.64 oz)
Length: 137.2 metres (150.0 yards)

Skein 2 (chocolate brown dominant):
Weight: 113.7 g (4.01 oz)
Length: 118.9 metres (130.0 yards)

Skein 3 (little one):
Weight: 44.5 g (1.57 oz)
Length: 43.9 metres (48.0 yards)

Total:
Weight: 289.7 g (10.22 oz)
Length: 300.0 metres (328.0 yards)

The singles were spun with a Z twist and the resulting two ply yarn is S twist. The yarn was then washed and hung to dry.
