Hamanaka Rakuraku Double-ended Crochet Hook Set

Description

This crochet hook set is relatively new from Japanese Hamanaka Company (same company that released the Magic Scrubbies books). The set has 5 double-ended hooks (a total of 10 hooks of graduated sizes) from Japanese sizes 2/0 to 10/0 or 2.0mm to 6.0mm.
2/0 - 2.0mm
3/0 - 2.3mm
4/0 - 2.5mm
5/0 - 3.0mm
6/0 - 3.5mm (F)
7/0 - 4.0mm (G)
7.5/0 - 4.5mm
8/0 - 5.0mm (H)
9/0 - 5.5mm (I)
10/0 - 6.0mm (J)
Materials are made of Elastomer Resin (AY-105) for the soft colorful grip and aluminum for the crochet hook. This soft type grip rubber resin is used to enable crocheting for a long time without the accompanying achiness in the fingers, wrists, forearm, wherever...
The ergonomic, triangular shaft design gives you the proper grip, therefore, making it more manageable & less stressful on the hands, even a beginner can easily master the grip which is just comfy-right.
As the triangular (one of a kind design - yet) shaft is designed for a good grip, the aluminum hook is best for easy glide crocheting - not much friction there to ruin the yarn and/or give you aches. Easy to use if your style of crocheting is like a pencil or like us barbarians, choking the hook...:) I use mine all the time now, even to make my butterfly thread lace barrettes and booties, and it's so much more comfortable than the standard hooks. The different sizes give you more choices if you don't like the gauge of whatever it is that your working on, flip the hook and try the other side. :) I know they seem a bit expensive, but if you figure there are 10 hooks, $5 a hook isn't all that much and the ergonomic grip gives it that much more value. I bet that once you try these you won't go back to using regular hooks ever.

The shaft comes in bright, deliciously fruity colors where sizes of both hooks are printed.
The set comes in a sturdy transparent plastic box.
I've got a set myself and I'm definitely liking it.
