Gauntlets to Attract Adventure

Welcome to my world of delightfully handcrafted clothing and accessories!

I created this pair of gauntlets out of aqua feedsack fabric left to me by my Nana. They are zigzag sewn onto a rescued cotton matress pad. Vintage "bling" is first epoxied, then sewn onto this base with almost invisible nylon thread. They close in the back with vintage buttons and elastic loops. Raw edges and escaping threads add visual interest. I sort of feel like a super hero when I wear these.

Measurements are as follows lying flat...
8 inches wide at the wrist
11 1/2 inches wide at the top
8 3/4 inches from wrist to forearm
The button closures add a wiggle room of about 2 more inches

Remember that most of my items are created with vintage recycled materials with all the lovely imperfections of objects with a past.
