Secrets. embroidered collage recycled cotton tote

Now my embroidered collages are in tote bag form!

I embellished the bag with many of the things that fascinate me: freehand machine embroidery, a doily, a length of lace, and a key. The last three elements are all vintage.

The tote is roomy and durable, and so can carry anything -- books, groceries, crafts supplies, you name it -- but the really great thing about it is that it is made from environmentally friendly recycled cotton, meaning those scraps of fabric cuttings that would normally take up space in landfills.

The bag is 19 inches or 48 cm wide, and 15.5 inches or 39 cm tall. It has a flat bottom of 7.5 inches or 19 cm. The handle length is 22 inches or 56 cm.
