Hand Stitched Silk Ribbon Needlecase with Wool Felt Applique

A lovely remnant of silk ribbon lay on my work table for a few days. I just couldn't throw it away. A stack of wool felt circles in colors I love lay by my sewing machine...what to do with them? Then it all came together!

I decided to hand sew them together with 100% silk thread into a pretty little needlecase. It has 4 wool blend felt book leaves for a total of 8 surfaces. It closes with a satin ribbon and button. It is trimmed with hand stitched wool felt circles in red, orange and yellow. To secure your needles safely, the red satin ribbon wraps around the little button.

Measurement overall: 3 1/2 inches X 3 inches (8.8cm X 7.6cm)
The book leaves measure 2 1/2 X 2 3/4 inches (6.3cm X 7cm)
