Odylle is a serene, serious but light hearted bookmark -- a useful bookGoddess -- too divine to be merely a bookmark! This bookGoddess will not only exude radiant grace and benevolence upon you while you read, she will also keep your place while you are away! But don't expect Odylle to give away plot twists and turns, this bookGoddess is ON YOUR SIDE! She wants to tackle every page with you and will not (she solemnly promises) read ahead no matter how the pot starts to boil. Unless you're reading a textbook and then never mind... no one is tempted to read ahead, even a bookGoddess!

9.25"tall X 2.5" wide (234mm X 65mm) she is a terribly unique piece of art sutiable for framing and yet she is only a bookGoddess, humble yet sublime and elegant! I molded her face from playdoh and then painted it to resemble old copper. Her colorful headress is black and white fabric topped with a brim of orange fabric. Glod glitter for dangly earrings and she is ready for whatever you are reading. Her tunic is from a book that was laying around here and seemed to be doing no good - until I started to cut it up! Then she has an underskirt of brown fabric with a petticoat of black and oatmeal colored paper striped -- with playful minty green dots to show you that she's not above a bit of whimsy! Her collar is a bit of junk mail over which I've laid down some more gold glitter for necklaces - isn't she wonderful? She could be YOUR bit of wonderful - if you buy her for yourself or as the "perfect gift" for that reader you care about -- or someone you wish to encourage in their reading habits.

ALtogether, Odylle is dressed for ANY sort of reading you might be doing. The cowboy boots just mean that she is ready for any sort of book! But don't let the sturdy, sensible footware fool you -- her danty black glove and delicate hands suggest a cultured refinement -- even in the most exalted company - such as Jane Austin or a biography of the Queen - Odylle will know how to behave and will do you proud.
